DCW supports a network of parents groups of Deaf children in Uganda with the aim of improving communication between these Deaf children and their parents through sign language training and other methods of communication including gesturing, lip reading, assistive devices, writing, drawings, pictures, speech and of course deaf awareness. The project will ensure parents understand how to communicate with their deaf children beyond the ability to sign fluently.
